Right?
I don't have to tell you people that things are busy. Work is busy. Home is busy. Summer is busy. School is busy. Yadda yadda yadda.
Without ever consciously deciding to do so, I gave myself a break for the summer. A break from blogging. Kinda. We had a few trips planned, I was running more, and I guess I just needed a breather. I made plans to go to bed earlier (you know, like before midnight) and get more done in the house and maybe even catch up on the DVR full of shows I record with plans to watch "when I have time". (I had a little chat with myself this week and finally erased 13 episodes of Parenthood I know I'll never actually find time to watch.)
Life caught up with me the last few months and I've kept myself a little busier than I probably should. My job at the agency has been busier than ever – which is saying something – and there are even fun developments on the work front that I'll be able to share very soon! I can't wait!
All that to say I'm still here. Posting has been spotty throughout the summer, but I'm glad you're hanging in here with me. I feel a very serious responsibility to maintain and nurture this little corner of the blogosphere, and I'm not going anywhere.
Though the thermometer reminds me it's still very, very SUMMER, I'm already operating like Fall is next week. I'm ready for football. I'm ready for the heat to settle down. And I'm ready for what Fall 2011 has in store for the Hoods.
With all this rambling I feel like I owe you some – something. And I hope I can deliver on that in the coming weeks and months. For now, you'll have to settle for recent pictures of The Boy – because there's always time for that.
