Christmas Season 2010 is officially in fast forward. Don't you feel it? Christmas being on a weekend this year is making the Thanksgiving-to-Christmas Marathon feel scrunched — and I'm crumbling a bit under the pressure.
We put up our tree this weekend, but we will have to save the gingerbread house decorating till who knows when. I am frantically trying to outwit the limited time specials at Shutterfly and get all of my photo books and gifts ordered in time for the holidays. And I feel as if every single moment between now and 12:01 a.m. January 1, 2011 is spoken for. And then some.
But such is life. And I am enjoying every single second of it. We have plans to see everyone at Christmas – which has been a long time coming. The last time my sisters and I were all home for Christmas was the year I surprised my parents with the news they would soon be grandparents. Can that even be possible? Talk about time flying.
So bring it on, December!
