We stayed up WAY too late and are completely exhausted from cheering and nail-biting and jumping up and down like wild animals – but we were there to watch the Hogs stomp Texas in Bud Walton Arena last night. It was awesome. Texas hadn't played basketball in Fayetteville for 18 YEARS! Last night's game makes it TWO Top 10 teams the Razorbacks have put away in the last week! I thought Jeff was going to lose his mind.
We used to go to ALL the games – but this is the first one I'd been to this season. And what a game to attend! Jeff's friend Jason went with us, too. The boys had WAY too much fun partying all over Texas when we won. I can't decide what I thought was most effective — the Hog Call, the Fight Song, or the crazed crowd chanting S-E-C, S-E-C! I do love a well-timed Hog Call!
After the game, we went down on the floor to say hi to our friend Robby – who works in Sports Information for the Hogs, and ran into some familiar faces. The big game attracted some pretty serious VIPs – Coach Frank Broyles, Ronnie Brewer, Sr. – and the boys got a photo op with former Arkansas Coach Eddie Sutton.
Taking a camera was an afterthought as we left the house, so I stuck my pocket-sized point-and-shoot in my jacket pocket. I was able to capture the last few seconds of the game before the place went totally nuts. It's not the best quality – but you get the idea…
GO HOGS! BEAT TEXAS!
And a big THANK YOU to Aunt Becky for watching the little guy while we went to the game! We love you!
